About the Item

Two brass water containers, used as bed warmers. China, early 20th Century. Both are Intricately decorated with gilt line in floral motif, plus inscriptions of "Blessings" in the front, and poems in the opposite sides, in two different calligraphy styles. The screw-in lid adjusts tightly and the handles are in great condition. A patina attributable to age and use shows throughout, with some verdigris spots. While the containers are still suitable for their original use and they are the same size, they're offered as decorative objects. Both include a bespoke metal stand for display, in two different heights: 11.5 inches and 13 inches. Sold separately.
