"Thookkuvilakku" Bronze Hanging Oil Lamp Kerala, South India, circa 1800
About the Item
A "Thookkuvilakku" bronze hanging oil lamp Kerala, South India, circa 1800, done in a shallow dish with seven spouts, above a drip pan, suspended from a chain. Wear is consistent with age, there is an old solder repair on the drip pan and the dish has a slightly bent.
The lamp measure 9 1/4"-inches high (lamp only) with the chain it is 21 3/4"-inches high, the diameter of the drip pan is 7 1/2"-inches.
