Imposing Chinese export eight panel lacquered coromandel screen featuring an idyllic pavilion over a dramatic gilt background. The panels are incised with intricate details and vibrant color pigments. The gilt image has a border of stylized dragons in gilt. The reverse side depicts a stark water landscape featuring white cranes under a tree. The panels are supported by square legs ending with brass clad feet. Large and impressive screen from an estate in San Francisco, CA. The front right side is signed with Chinese script. The screen has a beautifully aged patina on the lacquer finish.
