About the Item
Description: Stefan Lokos (Hungarian, 1913-1994) abstract oil painting on canvas. This is an unsigned work that resembles a Tuscan landscape. It is a high quality painting with pigments both knife and brush applied, so the depth of paint adds considerable warmth. The colors are rich and vibrant, so somewhat brighter than the photos. If you like, I am happy to provide a brief video. Based on the quality 1970s furnishing in the original owner's home from which I purchased this work, it was likely painted and sold in the mid-1970s. You will love this work of art!
Condition: minor craquelure in the upper portion along entire width, otherwise VGC
