Japanese "Suiseki" Makkouseki from Ehime

About the Item

This is a stone mined in Japan. Not only in China but also in Japan from ancient times, rocks in the mountains have been shaved and stones for viewing have been quarried. Such stones for appreciation are collectively called "suiseki". Suiseki means "water" and "stone". The name comes from the fact that I enjoyed pouring water on the stones and changing the color of the stones. This stone is quarried in "Ehime-ken", Japan. The name is called "Makkou stone". The Uwajima Tsushima area is one of Japan's representative underground stones, known as a mining area for high-quality matcha ore. A wide variety of patterns with fine wrinkles are interesting, and the moist stone surface is attractive. There is a difference in height, and the balance is good. It also looks like a Buddha statue. In addition, the wooden stand is also carefully carved. How about decorating your room with this wonderful "suiseki"?
