An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese Export Silver bowl; an addition to our Asian silverware collection. This exceptional Chinese Export Silver bowl has a plain circular form onto a plain circular swept, spreading foot. The body of this antique Asian silver bowl is embellished with chased traditional oriental chrysanthemum floral and foliate designs, all on a matte background. The decoration to the body incorporates a large shield shaped vacant cartouche to one side. The upper portion of this impressive bowl is encircled with a plain applied moulded border to the incurved shaped rim. The hallmarks struck to the underside of the bowl include: Origin mark: Shanghai (??) Maker's mark: Bao Cheng Branch name: DE JI Artisan silversmith mark: Fang (?) Condition This antique Asian silver bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The chased decoration is all very sharp.
