Large and impressive patinated bronze sculpture of a bear. As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this magnificent high quality Meiji period Okimono of a striding Bear. This large scale bronze model has been cast in fantastic detail. The animal, in stride, exactly as you would see these magnificent beasts stroll in real life, the artist has rendered the bear with an inquisitive pose. Fantastic lifelike fur details throughout and artist signature seal to the base by who must have been one of the leading Meiji period Animaler artists. This beautiful Okimono would seriously enhance any Japanese works of art collection .
