French 19th-20th Century Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Putti Children Chenet, Pair

About the Item

A fine pair of French 19th-20th century Louis XV style gilt and patinated bronze figural chenets. Each cast as two patinated figures of amorini (Putti) growing out of leafy volute vine stems warming their hands on the centre flambeau, raised on a gadrooned base with a beaded rim on chamfered feet, Paris, circa 1900. Measures: Height 11 1/2 inches (29.2 cm) Width 13 1/2 inches (34 cm) Depth 4 1/2 inches (11 cm).
