A very fine and charming pair of French 19th century Louis XV style figural gilt and patinated bronze chenets, each surmounted with a seated patinated bronze putto holding on to a branches, over a scrolled gilt bronze plinth, Paris, circa 1880-1890. Note: An almost identical pair of this model chenets is part of The Collection of the Prince of Liechtenstein in Vienna, Austria. Measures: Height 20 5/8 inches (52.4 cm) Width: 13 1/2 inches (34.3 cm) Depth: 7 1/8 inches (18.1 cm).
