Early 19th C. Richly Carved and Gilded Empire Frame with Red Velvet Accents

About the Item

Early 19th c., a beautifully ornate antique picture frame. The frame is made of wood, gilded with a rich, golden finish that exudes luxury and sophistication. The primary color is a warm, gilded gold, accented with deep red velvet panels that run along the inner edges of the frame. The contrast between the gold and red adds a striking visual effect. The outermost edge of the frame features intricate carvings that resemble leaves and floral patterns, giving the frame an elaborate and classic look. These details are hand-carved, contributing to the antique feel of the piece.
