Rare France Limoges Porcelain & Bronze Bathroom Set Washbasin Mirror Pendant Etc
By Limoges
Located in Lisse, NL
Highly decorative porcelain bathroom set with stunning roses pattern, by one of Europe's finest. Over the years we have sold very few porcelain Limoges pieces and that is simply because these high value items don't find there way to the open market very often. So to have been given the opportunity to purchase a set as complete and remarkable as the one we are offering you here, more than made our day. Also, because we already know that someone will be thrilled to be able to own and use this rare and beautiful set in their (new) home or, for example, in their holiday home. This vintage Limoges set of high quality and detail consists of the following: - A practical size washbasin with gilt bronze mythological dolphin handles. - Large mirror in stylish bronze frame with a mounted (or built-in) 4-light sconce. - A porcelain shelf (for wall mounting) to go under the mirror. - A bronze and porcelain, 4 light pendant light. - A shell design porcelain and bronze soap holder (for wall mounting). - A toilet paper holder with some damage (we therefor listed this set as a five-piece set). The two stunning bronze dolphins used to be the handles with which you could turn on the cold and hot water, but at some point in time the actual water tap...

This panel was part of the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA), Doua campus building, Villeurbanne, France 1957. This isolation element is made of pressed aluminium and is foam filled. Pair of Massive Antique Salvaged Architectural Doors with Arches
Located in Round Top, TX
This magnificent pair of huge wood doors originally served as a large gate in Southern Hungary, likely Szeged. Note the dramatic carved arched crown and Corinthian columns that accent the massive paneled and carved doors; with all these elements combined this pair absolutely commands attention. In 19th century Hungary, the original home owner of these doors had a farm out in the country and a house in the village. When they brought agricultural goods to town, this gate was wide enough for a hay wagon to enter while the door on the right (with handle) opened for individuals. Old vintage doors...

Set of Large Amber-Coloured Glass Handles, France 20th Century
Located in London, GB
A set of large push-pull handles made up of two large glass pieces with their fixings. France second half 20th century. Former shop fittings. Each of the two striking glass slabs is unique, with all the characteristics of handcrafted work including small bubbles, folds and imperfections from the making process; the soft amber tone appears lighter or darker depending on the levels of direct light. The large glass slabs are in good condition, with minor signs of age-appropriate wear including small nicks and light scratches. The brass (or bronze) fixings have been refinished and lightly polished; they have minor signs of age and use and are unlaquered, so will darken with age. Installation The set is supplied with the original fixings as shown in image 8; there is some wear to the internal parts, including the nylon buffers, however they are not visible on installation, and all pieces function well. The handles have previously been used either side of a single door, however you could amend or replace the central rod to use the handles on a thicker door...

Circular push-pull door handle in bronze, mid-20th century, France. A simple elegant handle, made up of two separate round pieces; each side with a slightly concave dish and wide stem. The components are in good vintage condition with lots of signs of wear, as one might expect from age and use. There is an aged golden patina - unique to each side according to exposure to cleaning and the air - which we have left as found. The final image - showing a similar piece - is included to illustrate scale.
