The sink is installed in the center of the room.
Separated are the two basins by a wide-span arch in chromed metal in the middle of which is a mirror on both sides.
Attached to the arch are two lamps, four small shelves made of glass, a bracket for a towel each and two plugs.
The fittings are marked and are also a design by Luigi Colani.
In this object shows very strongly Colani’s efforts in his designs to unite nature, man and design.
It also symbolizes Colani’s desire to bring the bathroom more into the center of the home and to give the room a greater significance.
This model can be found in various museums and collectors.

With some light wear, this beautiful antique sink will look stunning in the bathroom of a Victorian townhouse or a similarly themed vintage ensuite.
The Simon Kirby Museum of Bathroom Sanitaryware
Sanitaryware extraordinaire and enthusiast Simon Kirby was the proud owner of a rare and impressive collection of antique toilets, basins and baths.
Until 2016 Kirby was the managing director of Thomas Crapper & Co; he spent more than 40 years carefully sourcing these specialist pieces, making it his vocation to ensure such rare and valuable sanitaryware was saved and preserved, creating what was known as the Thomas Crapper Museum.
Over the years, the company museum has not been open to the public, with only a few history enthusiasts and keen customers having been invited to view.
Names such as Thomas Crapper, George Jennings, Shanks, Doulton and Co and Twyfords form part of this outstanding collection that demonstrates the development of sanitaryware over the centuries.
Although Kirby sold the iconic Thomas Crapper company nearly ten years ago, he remains an expert in the history of the ‘smallest room’ and now serves as a consultant to the Royal Household.

In current times there’s no more room for influx of disposable products, it is our studio’s goal to strive for design that will last and will be cherished for multiple generations.
The introduction of the first collection “clay series” fully articulated the DNA of the newborn Studio and led to their international breakthrough. The appreciation of materials reflects their unique view on interior design with a strong and recognizable signature. The baths are entirely made of clay and are available in a wide range of colours or can be produced bespoke. The exterior of the clay can be raw or smooth according to preference, the interior of the baths is finished with a layer of smooth, silky lime plaster for maximum comfort. Due to the production process every piece is unique in size and form.
