Bronze Push or Pull Door Handle

About the Item

A bronze push or pull door handle with textured finish and smooth raised central band. Germany, second half 20th century (probably 1970s). A heavy piece, made of cast metal, with very nice changing tones from use; unpolished and retaining a heavy deep brown patina. Overall good vintage condition with some signs of wear throughout, including a little oxidation, in line with age and outdoor use. The piece can be used indoors or outdoors; the abstract pattern works with the handle to the left or right - in the main picture the bracket is below the plate on the left. The bracket is attached to the plate by two bolts on the reverse. The handle can be installed using two long bolts (not supplied) to suit the thickness of your door and the weight of the metal. Approximate dimensions (as shown in main image): Main plate: H 17.7cm x W 17.7cm. Depth from the face of the door to the front face of the handle: 8.5cm. Please note this is a heavy piece which will require suitable installation.
