Pair of Modern Industrial Design Polished Steel and Brass Andirons
About the Item
A very unusual pair of heavy polished steel andirons with brass ball tops and brass finials attaching the substantial wrought iron billet bars to the fronts. The design is spare and elegant, loosely based on English polished steel Arts and Crafts andirons of the 19th century, which often also combined brass details and finials with steel bodies, while these have a more industrial look to them. Billets are blackened, not polished.
