19th Century Scottish Splayed Cast Iron Fireplace Insert

About the Item

A simple 19th century Scottish splayed cast iron fireplace insert. A generous outer plate, with a projected raised moulding to the outer aperture and inwards splayed side panels, a three barred fire front with finishing finials top and bottom, plain ash pan door below. Scottish, probably Carron of Falkirk 1870c Inside fire opening size: 465mm wide x 670mm high.
