About the Item
Fire Element is a work by Czech sculptor Ondřej Oliva. This work is both a sculpture and a working fire pit which can be installed in outdoor and indoor settings. It has been designed to withstand all environmental conditions, making it perfect for outdoor use. It is fixed to the ground with four metal rods.
The fire pit bowl is made of iron and the supporting structure is crafted from stainless steel. The sculpted details, in bronze and aluminum, use a rich symbolic language and narrative composed of natural motifs: the thick bark covering the trunk, the young branches, and the leaves evoke the cyclical nature of life. The bronze apples represent the fruits of our labors. Lastly, the scallop shells, symbols of the pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, the way of Saint James, represent our journey in this world and beyond. The four cardinal points are indicated by four sculpted bronze plates.
This work is available to order and will be crafted using the same design as the one shown in the photos. The creation process ensures that each piece is unique. The production time is approximately five months. For all customized requests (such as dimensions), please contact us.
