A Large 18th Century Wrought-Iron Kitchen Range

About the Item

A large 18th century wrought-iron kitchen range from Allerton Castle in Yorkshire. The iron range has a hinged top fire bar, three lower fire bars set on angle, between robust uprights topped with sphere finials. The hob-sides are fixed; but would have originally been used to narrow the burning area. Full mechanical workings not present. Cast-iron fire back. Restored. Circa 1790
