Bing & Grondahl Seagull Shell Bowl, 1952-1957, Vintage, Denmark

About the Item

Bing & Grondahl Seagull shell bowl is 6.7" wide, 7" deep, and 1.8" high. Relief of waves on the rim is shaded in pale blue with ombre effect; the piece is decorated without gold trim. The bowl is marked with green factory stamps that date back to 1952-1957, decorators' initials, and green numbers (42). The pattern was created in 1892 and was continuously produced until 2011, well after Bing & Grondahl merged with Royal Copenhagen in 1987. The bowl is in excellent vintage condition.
