About the Item

Very rare early piece from the Danish ceramic studio Saxbo by Gunnar Nylund and Nathalie Krebs. Manufactured 1929 or 1930. The tray is made from stoneware and features a green speckled glaze with a brown unglazed rim. Simple and elegant. On bottom: Crown Motif Nylund & Krebs Copenhagen 10 VI Saxbo was founded by the Danish Finnish designer and sculpturer Gunnar Nylund and the Danish chemical engineer Nathalie Krebs in March 1929. Until the autumn of 1930 they used the stamp Nylund & Krebs as on this piece. Their legendary name Saxbo was introduced after that.
