Northwood Wishbone Pattern Amethyst Carnival Glass Footed Bowl

About the Item

A stunning North American carnival amethyst glass bowl decorated in the Wishbone pattern by Northwood and dating from the early 20th century. The bowl stands raised on three scroll legs the rounded body with a pinched ruffled rim with the inner bowl molded in relief with a stylized floral design with orchids with wishbone shaped floral arrangements around a centrally impressed daisy like flower head to the base. The bowl is made in amethyst glass with a wonderful oily iridescence and with the outer edge decorated with Ruffles and Rings designs. The bowl has a molded N mark to the base. In good condition with light wear associated with age and use.
