Organic Modern Decorative Bowls
ORGANIC MODERN STYLE
Organic modern furniture is characterized by clean lines, an overall uncomplicated aesthetic and a prioritizing of natural, sustainable materials, such as wood and stone. There are lots of earth tones and natural-world textures rather than bright color palettes or fabrics embellished with busy patterns.
Organic furniture is minimalist and, owing to the ideas of venerable architect Frank Lloyd Wright, designed for warm spaces that promote harmony between human habitation and the great outdoors. Organic modern design, including in furniture and architecture, emerged in the 1930s.
Designers such as Andrianna Shamaris, Alguacil & Perkoff and Jörg Pietschmann — all known for organic modern design — have created furniture that brings dynamic and unpredictable energy to home interiors while emphasizing the importance of a relationship with the natural world.

The jewel-like amethyst and lavender colored glass inclusions were placed in abstract, graphic pattern on soft lilac background, and enclosed in clear glass in sommerso technique. Minimal, almost monochromatic color palette balances complex shape of the piece, and the subtle flow of the pattern guides the eye along the folded glass surfaces.

No human being, however great, or powerful, was ever so free as a fish – John Ruskin, Picture Quotes. Just look at this magnificent cast bronze bowl sculpture with fish design created by John Forsythe. A decorative bowl comprised of a cast bronze water whirlpool with swimming fish caught in the spinning currents, their half bodies and patinated green tails distending from the swirling water and a fish tail protruding from the exterior base of the bowl. You feel the struggle of trying to stay above water and complete your journey. Surrounded by a cast bronze rim trimmed with shiny green bubbles or fish eggs as to represent salmon and their spawning. Salmon lay an enormous number of eggs because they face a lot of adversity on their journey to becoming an adult, and while we aren’t sure these fish are in fact salmon, it certainly speaks to the realities of the course of life. Striking Organic Modern bowl was hand blown with fluid, folded edge. The colored yellow and brown glass inclusions were placed in abstract, graphic pattern on peachy beige background, with the whole structure enclosed in clear glass in sommerso technique. Minimal color palette balances complex shape of the piece, and the subtle flow of the pattern guides the eye along the folded glass surfaces.
