About the Item

A beautiful, small dish with a handle from Söholm ceramics based in Bornholm, Denmark. A simple glazed pattern on the inside and fired earthenware on the exterior and handle. Signed LE and stamped 3215/2. Søholm Keramik (Ceramics), Denmark was founded by Edvard Christian Sonne and Herman Sonne Wolffsen in 1835. It has been one of Denmark’s leading manufacturers of modern ceramics both of household goods and art pottery. One of the most leading Scandinavian?designers and artists was the famous Michael Andersen, who made some famous art ceramic interior design objects such as vases in the 1960s-70s, using a modern twist on his vases as well as very special glazing techniques valued by the retro and vintage market.

    A very cute little vintage handmade ceramic stoneware lamp base made from Söholm, Denmark. This lamp is a classic, elegant and timeless lamp. The shape is rather unusual, wide base and slender neck, it has a contemporary feeling, yet it is the glazing that is making it so special, it has a brown and at times beige or sandy colour which gives a sophisticated look and this will be a centerpiece in any interior setting. It is 21cm (8.26") high including the lamp fitting and around 11cm (4.33") in diameter. The price includes FREE shipping. NOTE: It is has been newley rewired with an electrical plug suitable for Swedish and most of EU standard and it needs an E27 screw bulb and that the lamp is in an excellent condition.
