Daum Three Section Cubist Clear and Frosted Crystal Vide Poche Bowl

About the Item

This heavy sculptural French crystal vide poche was made by Daum and has an angular form executed in clear and frosted crystal. The construction of the piece features three cube-like components, the interior of which have been hollowed out to form scooped smooth sections. As seen in the accompanying photographs, the angular juxtaposition of the design is enhanced by use of clear and frosted surfaces, imparting the piece with visual interest. The vide poche rests on three points which serve to elevate the chunky body above the display surface. The underside is signed in diamond point script. The sculpture measures 7" x 7.375" wide and is 4" tall. It weighs 4lbs 1oz and is in very good vintage condition with light signs of wear consistent with age and display. A striking and useful decorative object.
