Mid Century Green Crystal Valet Tray by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, 1960

About the Item

Refined and elegant valet tray in Nile green crystal, designed in 1960 by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, one of Italy's most iconic glass and lighting manufacturers. This sculptural piece exemplifies the timeless elegance and innovation that made Fontana Arte a benchmark of Italian design. The oval form, defined by smooth curves and fluid lines, creates a beautiful interplay of transparencies and reflections, accentuated by the purity of the crystal. A gently recessed central area adds visual depth, making this object not only functional but also an artistic glass sculpture. Ideal for both modern and classic interiors, it's perfect on an entryway console, desk, or coffee table - a discreet yet luxurious statement. In excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks, and exceptional clarity - a rare collectible signed by one of the greatest glassmasters of the 20th century. Pair of Carlotta Sculptural Brass Beds by Luciano Frigerio for Cellini Arte
By Luciano Frigerio
Located in Conversano, IT
Exceptional and rare pair of "Carlotta" beds frame designed by Luciano Frigerio and produced in the 1970s by Cellini Arte, the family-run company from his maternal side (distinct from Frigerio di Desio). These twin beds are crafted from solid cast brass, featuring oriental geometric motifs enriched with a brutalist surface texture and adorned with matching sculptural knobs. Elegant and sculptural, the beds can be used individually in a children's or guest room, or joined together to form a double bed - offering both style and versatility. They are in excellent original condition, with minor age-related wear on the iron side rails, which enhances their authenticity and patina. Sold with the original certificate of authenticity issued by the Frigerio's Family. Luciano Frigerio (1928-1999) was a visionary Italian designer and sculptor known for merging furniture design with the language of fine art. Educated in Milan and deeply rooted in the Brianza artisan tradition, Frigerio developed a signature style of "furniture as sculpture," especially his sculptural beds and cast bronze creations produced between the 1960s and 1990s. His work often pays homage to modernist pioneers like Arnaldo Pomodoro and Osvaldo Borsani, yet stands apart for its expressive forms, brutalist textures, and bold use of solid materials like brass and bronze. About Cellini Art While most of Frigerio's known pieces were produced by Frigerio di Desio, the Cellini Arte company-run by his maternal family-allowed him to explore even more sculptural and artisanal expressions. Their production was limited, making each piece, such as this pair of beds, rare and highly collectible. Please note: This item is in a very good vintage condition. Minor signs of age may be present but do not affect its functionality. We kindly ask you to consider these characteristics prior to purchase. Dimensions (Each Bed) Height: 100 cm (39.4 in) Width: 93 cm (36.6 in) Length: 205 cm (80.7 in) Fits standard single mattress (80 × 190 cm) Keywords: Luciano Frigerio Brass Bed...
