Japanese Contemporary Gray White Yellow Porcelain Charger by Master Artist, 3

About the Item

Extraordinary Japanese contemporary museum-quality decorative porcelain charger/centerpiece, extremely intricately hand painted in bright cream color, set against a mesmerizing background of various shades of gray. It is a signed masterpiece by this highly celebrated Kutani master artist whose signature dramatic flowers create a breathtaking scene. The artist's profile is available upon request. The outstanding piece showcases the artist's signature pattern, a dramatic bold peony in full bloom set against a magnificent background of an extremely intricate traditional auspicius fish scale pattern. The peony flows over the rim to decorate the back side of the vase. The artist's signature raised painting creates a three-dimentional bold peony. The same fish scale pattern adorns the center of the back of the vase, surrounding the artist's signature. The auspicious fish scale pattern symbolizes continuous waves, a wish for a steady and peaceful life and longevity. The sheer size, the awe-inspiring large dramatic peony and the exquisite fish scale background, make this a magnificent memorable and highly collectable piece. This exquisite porcelain charger comes in a custom made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: D 18 in H 4.5 in.
