Stunning Bowl, Nude, Malachite Art Glass, Frantisek Halama, 1930 Art Deco

About the Item

Highly decorative rare bowl by well-known art glass designer and manufacturer Frantisek Halama. What we have here is a wonderful table object that can be used as a bowl for small things, as an ashtray or even as a paperweight. It shows an artistically curved female nude lying in a recess surrounded by volutes. Extraordinarily thick, so-called malachtite glass, which only a few manufactories crafted, exclusively in the Czech Republic. This example was made in northern Czech Republic, in Železný Brod by Frantisek Halama, a highly skilled glass artist. Measurements: height 7, 5 cm - 2, 95 in, width 19 cm - 7, 41 in, depth 14 cm - 5,51 in This rare bowl in a very good condition, is part of Czech glass art and is an rare original of the Art Deco period.
