About the Item

Nineteenth century mahogany brass bound campaign box with flush shield form escutcheon on front (no key), the two ends fitted with brass hook latches, the top with a central rectangular brass plate with cut corners. These types of cases were typically fitted for medical or navigational instruments. This case has been relined as a jewelry box.
