About the Item
An enameled decorative round box designed by Alexandre Marty, (1876-1943).
This is an amazing beautiful round box created in Limoges France by Alexandre Marty, back in the 1945-1950. The box has been crafted for Limoges in solid copper and highly decorated with organic motifs of flowers covered with precious metal foil, polychrome, partially pastose hard glass enamel. Alexandre Marty was a proponent of the emerging Art Deco style, and, coupled with Fauré‘s desire to embrace the modern, the workshop began to produce unconventional enamel designs in this new style with exceptional skill and artistry

Weight: About 2.5 Pounds, (1.14 Kg.).
Measurements: Diameter of 216 mm by a height 79 mm (8.5 x 3.1 Inches).
Hallmarks: Signed by gold handwritten as follows, "A. MARTY LIMOGES".
Literature: Alberto Shayo; 'Camille Fauré, Limoges art deco enamels, the geometry of joy', Antique Collectors Club Ltd, Woodbridge, Suffolk, 2007. P. 10, 13, 16, 31. for similar examples illustrated.
Note: Alexandre Marty collaborate with Camille Faure between (1922-1925).
Condition: The overall condition of this Alexandre Marty enameled box is excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage and all parts are secured in the settings. Some normal production cracking that don't detract. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.

Beautiful enamel round box, created during the art deco period, back in the 1925. This beautiful antique piece was carefully crafted at the workshops of Foster & Bailey in solid .925/.999 standard silver with a hinged lid. Fitted with a mirror and a place to storage a 5 cents nickel coin. Decorated at both sides with engine turned guilloche decoration topped with applications of translucent vivid turquoise enamel with flowers.
Weight: 42.30 Grams, (27.11 Dwt).
Measurements: Diameter of 51 mm and a height of 12 mm (2.0 x 0.47 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark F&B associated to Foster & Bailey, the mark for the assay of the silver and signed, "F&B STERLING".
