French Tantalus Drinks Box, Faux Books w Hidden Whisky, Gin, Cognac Glass Flasks

About the Item

Unique four-leather-books-design liquor tantalus with hidden decanters. If you are looking for the most interesting and worldly gift for yourself, a friend or a loved one then this cool antique drinks box could be perfect. The faux leather books could easily be mistaken for real books and this makes the surprise even bigger when in fact this rare antique reveals a set of three, beautifully amber colored glass bottles. The higher up on a shelf the more impossible it is to know beforehand what these four books really are. However, once turned around the box reveals not only the bottles, but also the whisky, gin and cognac names. This rare and quirky antique is probably English or French and it dates back to the 1930s. This makes a great conversation piece and a handsome decoration for your bar or tucked away in your (office) book shelf. Just like the leather 'books', the beautiful and original decanters too are still in good condition and very much ready to be used and enjoyed. This novelty, antique talking piece is the perfect gift, but also the ideal decoration piece for a private library or home office. Apart from the striking design and usability this rare object also has the most wonderful patina. Mind you, our price for this unique 'secret tantalus' includes perfect packing (in a custom made box) and also worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 workdays. Maximum height x width x depth: 8.5 x 8 x 5.7 inches. We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again).
