Mid-Century Modern Spanish Wooden Box with Silver & Enamel Lid

About the Item

A fine vintage Spanish table or glove box. In .915 fine (plata de ley) solid silver. The wooden box with a silver lid with an enameled Moderist depiction of a recumbent woman with a bird, a school of fish, and other abstract decoration. Marked to the reverse on the hinge. Simply a wonderful Mid-Century box! Date: Mid-20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There are some slight losses to the enamel here and there. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Marks: Marked to the hinge with a partially legible pentagram for .915 silver fineness / a partially struck maker's mark. Fineness: Marked for .915 silver fineness. Measurements: Height: ca. 1 5/8 in. Width: ca. 8 1/4 in. Depth: ca. 4 1/4 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you. Purchases may be returned for any reason for a period of 7 days.
