About the Item

A René Lalique 'Houppes' Art Deco Opalescent glass powder box & cover moulded in relief on the underside of the lid with a design of swan-down powder puffs. Moulded mark "R. Lalique". Inscribed "France" to base Designed in 1921. This design was also used for a cardboard powder box for Coty in the 1920s. Reference: R Lalique Catalogue Raisonné de L’Œuvre de Verre - Felix Marcilhac. Model number 29.
