Rare English George III pewter canister with domed lid, 1780-1810

About the Item

A rare George III pewter tea/tobacco canister. The beaded lip is repeated in ring moldings on the domed lid which terminates in an acorn finial. The canted base of the canister repeats the series of ring turned moldings. Engraved Palmer script inscription around the under foot. England, circa 1780-1810.
