A Very Fine Early 20th Century Enamelled Sterling Silver Cigarette Case

About the Item

The front of the case exhibiting an exquisite hand painted panel depicting sprays of irises in shades of lavender, royal blue & green, set against a radiant white enamelled machined field. The hinged lid opening to a richly gilded interior inscribed with a dedication, together with Birmingham hallmarks with date letter for 1939, and makers marks for highly regarded British silversmith & enamellist Henry Clifford Davis.
