Antique Oriental Chinese Export Black Lacquered Gilt Painted Covered Box 1940s. Large Asian Chinese black lacquered tea box with numerous figures and gilt detail. Chinoiserie black lacquer and gilt painted box, made for the export market. The black lacquer Chinese box is decorated with beautiful gilt painting. The Asian home decor lid of the storage box is hand-painted in the shanshui style, with an idyllic river and mountain, Chinoiserie style landscape with architectural Asian decor, landscape figures of women in traditional kimonos, young boys playing near a river. The Oriental landscape studded with trees and vegetation, and some small pagodas. Shanshui style landscapes. The interior of the asian box is hand-painted in red lacquer. Dimensions: Height: 6 in Width: 9 in W. x 7 in. D. Style: In the Style Of Qing. Circa 1940s China.
