About the Item

Circa 1790-1810 period Georgian tea caddy made from Mahogany. The tea caddy has been used well and loved over many centuries. The top has a brass ring with which to lift the lid. This reveals two lidded compartments, both with brass knobs. The caddy has lovely inlay on the corners, flanking a central medallion on the front with a single shell. This is a lovely caddy and would look smashing in a display or alone on a table in any home or office.
