About the Item
An elegant true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and white Carrara marble candelabras. Each candelabras is raised by fine mottled bun shaped feet below the square white Carrara marble base. The bases display charming intertwined ormolu plaques at the fronts fitted within fine recessed panels while the elegant circular central supports display lovely fluted designs with finely detailed fitted ormolu foliate chandelles. Above, each of the richly chased ormolu Puttis are draped in fine flowing fabrics and are holding the elegantly scrolled arms above their heads. Each arm displays a most decorative spiral fluted design with charming grapes and lovely foliate candlecups. All original gilt throughout.
