English 19th Century Ebonized Torchere Forty Four Inches High, Reeded Column

About the Item

English ebonized late 19th century torchere. This turned and tapered column on square base is reeded and has interesting turnings framing the tall column. At 44" high it is wonderful in front of a window with a piece of sculpture or jardiniere or candelabra on top; it adds height and interest without bulk. This classic column can easily find a home in most rooms where height and interest but not weightiness is required. Late 19th Century. 10 1/2" square top; 11 1/2" square base; 44" high
