19th Century French Champlevé Enamel Clock Set

About the Item

A very fine quality 19th century Louis XVI style gilded ormolu and champlevé enamel clock garniture, the four sided clock having four enamel columns, a pair of Sèvres style porcelain plaques depicting a gentlemen and lady, the porcelain clock face with Roman numerals and a cherub painted to the center, as has the pendulum bob, the clock has an eight day duration and chimes on the hour and half hour. The two side pieces each with Sèvres style porcelain bodies with romantic painted scenes of lovers, enamel decoration to the necks and bases, gilded ormolu handles and bases. Measures: Clock 31cm high x 126cm deep x 19cm wide Urns 37cm high x 9cm deep x 10cm wide.
