Bronze and Enamel Barbedienne Paris Clock with Figural Ladies’ Faces & Hoof Feet

About the Item

Let me say that I feel this is the most amazing clock I have seen in over 30 years. The clock case is signed Barbedienne Paris. The clock works are signed with a medallion from Japy Freres Grand Exibition, 1855. The magnificent clock case is bronze, and it has elaborate enamel decoration. It is flanked with figural bronze lady faces with flowers in their hair on both its sides. Between the figural ladies faces, this clock is decorated with cobalt blue enamel stars on its front and back. This clock has four bronze hoof feet that stand on the bronze base that has blue, turquoise, red and gold enamel arabesque design. The top of this clock has a bronze figural ornamentation of flowers and fruit. Underneath the flowers and fruit is a bronze band with a beautiful aqua, blue and white enamel embellishments. This clock is an amazing work of art, and it also has one of the best French clock works ever made from Japy Freres. It is in working condition. It rings the number of hours it is on the hour, and it rings once at the half hour. You only need to wind it once a week. If you want a really magnificent clock, this Barbedienne clock is the once in a lifetime clock for you. Price of clock-$14500.00
