French gilt champleve clock garniture Rectangular case standing on a stepped moulded base with turned feet, applied frieze decoration below a beautifully decorated champleve enamel panel with finely turned, chased blue champleve pillars with gilded capitals. Stepped chamfered pediment surmounted by a champleve decorated urn. Gilded dial with champleve enamel centre and Arabic numerals. Eight day movement striking the hours and halves on a coiled gong marked ‘S.Marti’. c.1890 Two fine vase side pieces with blue champleve enamel decoration complete this garniture. Clock height: 12.5 inches Vases height: 9 inches.
