Viennese mantle / mantel / table chiming clock Empire style Date of manufacture: circa 1810-1820 Material: The clock's chest is made of stained dark mahogany wood / refurbished and hand-polished ENAMEL CLOCKFACE (Arabic numerals) / BRASS (applied decorations and mechanism) / GLASS (lunette edged by brass border) / INLAYS made of nacre and different woods Technique: Mantel / Table Clock, the clock is striking the quarter and half hour and the hour on two sound spirals, A Pendulum And Feather Lift Work / Key For Winding Up The Clock's Mechanism Existing Detailed informations: Mantel / table clock consists of a threepart stage-like chest with pointed arches at lateral sides and an elevated centerpart. A special feature is the pair of caryatides flanking the middle area that are partly gilt. The surface is partially decorated with brass applications and nacre inlays. The back wall is mirrored. The table clock is topped by a sculptured wooden and gilt eagle's figurine. All the applications are in excellent condition. Excellently restored (refurbished by hand) / clockwork is cleaned and checked: It is working well. Ready for use! Size / measures: Height 24.01 inches / 61.0 cm Width 14.56 inches / 37.0 cm Depth 5.70 inches / 14.5 cm.

  • Condition:
    The movement is securely attached to the clock's case / it is in excellent condition. The original clockwork is in working order and it runs well. The clockwork was checked by clockmaker and was cleaned, too.
