Antique French Gothic mantle clock with water automaton feature. The Gothic case with patinated bronze against ormolu is typical of the period circa 1840. The ormolu is of fire/mercury gilding. The dial is also ormolu, with roman numerals. "Water" flows from the mask. The movement is of 30 hour duration. The automaton feature runs very well indeed. French Circa 1840
