19th Century Iron Clock Dial with Hands circa 1825-1850

About the Item

A wonderful example of an iron clock dial with hands, painted Roman numerals, and motion works, as well as the original counterweight. Probably American in origin, from a tower or building pediment, dating to the 19th century, in good overall condition, with some surface rust, paint loss, minor repairs, imperfections, and wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 36.25 in diameter x 5.5 in D. Ref: 636
