About the Item
Blooming Sculpture I by Emilie Lemardeley
Unique Piece.
Dimensions: D 35 x W 56 x H 90 cm.
Materials: Bronze and mixed technique.
Designed as jewellery for the interior, the Lemardeley’s creations reflect French craftsmanship infused with elegance and refinement. Based in France, near Paris, Lemardeley provokes reflection and reverie through its handmade collections by carefully selected craftsmen. Lemardeley invites us into a dreamlike universe; we dance with bright mobiles, dream of chandeliers with colored bubbles and travel coiled in the hollows of a winged sofa.
Inspired by Etruscan jewelry and Greek mythology, Lemardeley’s pieces are treasures whose brilliance is enhanced by the gesture of the hand that designed them. Emilie Lemardeley has an atypical path as a designer. She studied literature, and political sciences, then hopped to Sotheby’ s in London and finally graduated in France at Olivier de Serres. Very quickly, she createsher own brand and offer her original universe to an international clientele.
The Lemardeley pieces are all narrative and generous. They offer several levels of reading, ranging from primary functionality to symbol. The talent of the designer lays in her ability to awake, with harmonious colors and balanced materials, the reminiscences of our Western cultures.

Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary sculptural design and art gallery representing emerging and established designers and artists. The gallery is the brainchild of two brothers who share a lifetime passion for art, literature and philosophy. Their distinct academic background sets them apart from their peers, as it sees them following a rhizomatic and transcultural approach in the way they select works. This involves combining elements from multiple cultures in what becomes a network of harmoniously interconnected roots, ultimately revealing the beauty of each unique creation. The gallery’s non-hierarchical curation sits apart from the ephemerality of trends and focuses instead on the true aesthetic quality of the piece – alluring and timeless. Unlike others, Galerie Philia does not focus on a single style – whether minimalist, organic or raw – but rather embraces heterogeneity. The Galerie Philia takes pride in discovering new talents, providing them with multiple international platforms to showcase their latest creations. As well as propelling the newest generation of 21st century collectible design, Galerie Philia also works with internationally known design artists. Galerie Philia has a strong international presence, with galleries in Geneva, New York and Singapore. In addition to their permanent spaces, the gallery organizes temporary group exhibitions and artists residencies in first-class locations around the world.

- Blooming Terra, a Ceramic Decorative Vase in Brown and Grey by Maarten VrolijkBy Maarten VrolijkLocated in London, GBBlooming Terra is an earthenware ceramic decorative vase in brown, grey and pink by the Dtuch artist Maarten Vrolijk. Vrolijk approaches his ceramic artworks using the surface of his created forms as a canvas, yet with his medium being clay, it instantly adds a depth and relief that is more substantial than its painterly counterpart. Keeping his mark-making intuitive and immediate, the material reacts in its own unique way, dragging and creating small trails of the displaced clay, embellishing his own lines. It is these unexpected structures that create in the artist’s eye, additional unique beauty in each piece. Enhanced by extra layers of colors and glazes, the resulting artworks combine spontaneity, charm, naivety, nature and storytelling. Maarten Vrolijk is an Amsterdam-based artist and designer who considers it important to elaborate on the simple, unequivocal nature of a product or artwork and has been creating his works for over 25 years.
