About the Item
Darcy Badiali is ceramicist living on the central coast of California where he currently creates his art. He studied at both the Kansas City Art Institute, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and Arizona State University receiving his Masters of Fine Arts degree. His primary medium is clay and many of his pieces consist of wheel thrown stoneware pieces. Badiali finds inspiration from the environment surrounding him as many of his pieces are references to nature. Though his forms have their origin in function, the scale of his creations tend to make them more sculptural. The passion Darcy finds at the potter’s wheel provides a visceral approach to creating his work.
