About the Item
Fabulous Harvey Weiss (1922-2007) Figural bronze Brutalist sculpture. Laying on her side this nude is a unique blend of shapes, textures and layers.
Weiss's sculptures are part of many public and private collections. These include the Hirshhorn Collection of Washington D.C. as well as the Albright Knox Gallery and the Nelson Rockefeller Collection. He was a member of the National Academy of Design and he was a past president of the National Sculpture Society. His work was also included in shows at the Museum of Modern Art and the National Gallery in Washington.
Signed on the bottom of the wood, Harvey Weiss. Color varies with lighting.
