About the artist:
Since graduating with an Industrial Design degree from the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, Zhipeng Tan has focused on the ancient technique of lost-wax casting. Through this foundry process, rich in heritage and tradition, Tan explores his interest in organic forms. Often inspired by his environmental surroundings, such as water and plants, he explores anthropomorphic themes, as well. Though trained as an Industrial designer, he has become an accomplished self-taught sculptor, eagerly exploring the elastic and permeable boundaries between art and design and finding a harmonious fusion of sculpture and furniture, provocative objects of both beauty and utility.
In spite of his rigorous training in computer modeling, Tan develops all of his concepts exclusively with hand drawing, preferring the direct connection to his work that sketching provides. As he likes to say, “Every line in the artwork is touched by me.” Most of his work is hand-sculpted in clay, and the final work is achieved through casting, hammering, welding and polishing. He has chosen brass as his preferred medium in part because of its connection to historical tradition, but most especially because of its warm color, rich luster and versatility.
Though from his early work, one may sense the influence of Joan Miró, Henry Moore and Constantin Brancusi, and in his more recent pieces there is a nod to the Post-Pop sensibilities of Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami, the work of Zhipeng Tan is thoroughly original, an expression of his exuberance and imagination. She decides in 2018 to reconnect with her creative side. She was drawn to the bold arrangement of flowers combining her remarkable eye for beauty and her uncanny attention to details now highly refined from her work for Couture collections. Marcella is inspired to explore more enduring ways embody and embolden fresh arrangements, and reinvents herself as The Art Flower Maker, where her ephemeral creations are permanently captured through both photography and sculpture.

The lush fringes of the delicate pieces invite to be touched by passers-by, becoming thus an unexpected musical instrument.
Agustina Bottoni
Agustina Bottoni is an independent Argentinian designer based in Milan. She works for companies, private clients and self-productions of objects, textiles and furniture.
Graduated at the University of Buenos Aires, and after years of working in the fashion industry, she transferred to Milan, graduating with honors of the MA in product design at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti. Following, she collaborated with design studios in Italy and the Netherlands before dedicating since 2015 to her independent design practice.
Exploring the language of everyday objects, these projects tell stories through a gentle use of shape. Agustina’s multicultural experience influences the research of different materials and techniques. They also encourage an emotional perception, considering objects as companions in our lives.
Her works have been exhibited at Triennale Design museum in Milan, Salone del Mobile, Maison & Objet and others.
Since 2016, she is a co-founder of design collective The Ladies Room.
