19th Century Pair of Large Famille Rose Pheasants by Samson

About the Item

An exceptionally rare and beautiful 19th Century Pair of Large Famille Rose Pheasants by Samson. A large pair of male and female Famille Rose pheasants by Samson. The size alone makes them very rare and highly collectable. They are in extremely good condition with the colors speaking for themselves, circa 1860. Formed in in slightly different poses to add to the natural flow of the two birds. Perched on rockwork splashed in blues, greens and peach, their heads slightly turned and their black, beady eyes alert, the colorful wings folded over their long tails, their breasts shaded in yellows and pinks, plumage details picked out in black.
