Art Deco Ceramic Stippled Black & Crimson Glaze Panther signed Vago Weiss

About the Item

This gleaming Art Deco Ceramic Panther sculpture signed Vago Weiss Originates from France, Circa 1925. Rendered in an optical mixture of stippled charcoal and cool crimson ceramic glazes, the colors relate and blend with stunning gradients across the highly defined musculature of the panther in the midst of a steady plodding stride. A stunning dance of refined and primal energy, the panther appears to snarl with a beautiful rise of its jowls as though to ward off a competitor or correct the risky behavior of its cubs. With stylized geometric simplification of the organic forms and unique balance of the materiality, this piece will serve as a remarkable addition to a wide array of interiors and movements. Signed Vago Weiss on the Rectangular base. In Excellent Vintage Condition. France, circa 1925 Dimensions: Height: 11.5" x Width: 24" x Depth: 5.5"
