Large Glazed Terracotta Mid-Century Era Spaniel Dog Sculpture with Brown Accents
About the Item
This large, possibly life sized glazed terracotta dog sculpture is unsigned with respect to the artist, but is presumed to have been made in Italy in approximately 1969 in a very realistic style. The sculpture is done with a molded terracotta clay and glazed in a cream with light brown patches on the sides. The sculpture is molded in a very detailed manner showing a wagging tongue and soft eyes, and considerable detail to the fur. Please note we also have another slightly larger Spaniel dog sculpture posted with black accents on the head and sides.
